Overview of the course

Our in-person study day provides an excellent opportunity to receive an annual SACT update for all SACT trained nurses. 

Please note – this course is only available for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust staff. 

Learning outcomes

On attendance of this study day, candidates will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the 24/7 Patient Advice Line service and UKONS Triage tool. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding in managing SACT adverse effects and oncology emergencies pathways. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of upcoming oncology and haematology regimes. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Oncology and Haematology Clinical Guidelines – Local and National. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the role of nutrition and oncology dieticians in cancer care for patients receiving SACT. 

Course lead

This course will be delivered by our multi-professional clinical specialists. 

Target audience

SACT trained registered nurses.
